Memories and Other Fun Side Effects

 

 

Memories
-All memories related to the 'Underground' will generally be a bit more hazy and unsure unless they involve killing or bloodshed.
-I've provided examples but if you need more clarification, don't hesitate to ask!

• Heine's time in the Underground. Range from seeing his friends happy and laughing, etc. Can also include them trying to find a way out of the Underground facility. (See here and here for an example.)
• Fighting some of Angelika's dog experiments. (See here, here and here.) ► Angel
• Lily going berserk. (See here, here, here and here.)
• What are flowers?
• A tender moment. ► Nill
• Heine speaking to Angelika one on one. Everything in her office is surprisingly vivid while everything else has a bit of a hazy effect. This memory also has the option of Angelika explaining to Heine that she wants to run a new experiment on him. (See here, here, here and here.)
• A look at Heine's spine and the real reason behind Angelika's experiments. Memories will abruptly cut out as to whether or not Heine accepted Angelika's offer. (See here and here.)
• The implantation of the Ruler spine. (See here.) ► Angel
• Meeting Ceberus. (See here and here.)
• Mass massacre of the other test subjects that Heine came to know as friends. (Examples can be seen here, here and here.)
• Heine's fight with Lily that ultimately ends in her death. (See here, and here.) ► Alex
• Heine finally escapes the Underground. Think of these as very blurred with no cohesion to them. They only clear when Bishop discovers him after he falls off the clock tower.
• Heine coming into save Badou's ass because what else is new. These generally have a lighter feeling to them. Imagine a lot of shootouts with the both of them just yelling at each other at how they're both idiots. (Example here.) ► Rikku, Tony

• Being pulled back from the dead by Ceberus - can be at any point when Heine 'dies'. ► Angel
• Fighting Naoto and then later on the effects of the poison that slip into his body. (See here and here.) ► Nill

Side Effects + Notes

• Any point after the implantation of the Ruler spine, it's not uncommon to hear Ceberus speaking to Heine in the back of the viewer's mind. Heine often ignores him or speaks back.
• Heine can become extremely uncomfortable and almost fearful of any female that is not Nill. There is a gradual sense of acceptance with Naoto as the memories of her come through.
• There is almost a freeness to his shoot-em-up attitude when he and Badou are fighting their marks.
• Anything to do with genetic mutations is often met with a slow, boiling anger.
• Any memories centered around Nill, Badou, Bishop and later Naoto, will always have a sense of protectiveness.
• Coming back from the dead is generally a very painful experience. Expect to feel sharp, stabbing pains and as if claws have ripped into your chest.
